What excitement? There's no games that excite on 3DS in comparsion with current DS/PSP games of last half-year.
The only laughable thing here is how Nintendo fanboys are trying to damage control the new handheld without strong core-games or system sellers or even new IPs (Sony have new adventure core-game from the creator of Siren and the first Silent Hill).
Sony is bringing games to it's new handheld. And as much as I can see, Nintendo is doing nothing. Just two Mario games in the end of this year. It's really laughable how company is milking not even their long-beard-old franchises, ...
And that is the huge problem with 3DS - there will be tons of casual crap and shovelware with "3D". Just like on DS. I mean - just look at the launch games. After four months after the launch of 3DS - there's still nothing to play. Especially if you look at great games of the last half-year for DS or PSP.

Sony showed great games for the launch (and after) for PSV. 3DS on the other hand have some of the weakest launch line-up. NSMB and Mario Kart will not come out till the end of the year, while PSV will have LBP at launch with infinite gameplay and Mod Nation Racer soon after. Not to mention Uncharted and WipEout, or rich 3rd party support with big titles as CoD or Bioshock.

I mean.. look at all that garbage and shovelware in AppStore - there's no QA control. It's like anyone can upload any crap to AppStore and try to sell it. I don't want a console like that.
Where can I sign the "Get your ****ing dirty hands off the PSN, you mother-hackers!" petition? I pay my money for games and because of group of some anonymous morons, I can't play with my friends and buy downloadable content.
99.9% of normal PS3 gamers are suffering from 0.1% dicks, that imagine themselves as some digital messiahs (but in fact are duchebags with no life).
It would be an open platform with tons and tons of shovelware with absolutely no 1st party support.

You can also download two games that you already have on discs and then give away those disc games as a small present for someone.

Many gamers have multiple accounts on one console. That is giving them the chance to download everything Sony have to offer for free. Five games, ten games - they will download them all for their console from different accounts. So wider selection is not an option, it's like Sony will go out on streets and give away all their games for free for anyone.

I have all the games they offer. I played them and finished them. I enjoyed them. I'm grown up enough to make my own money to buy my own games and not to whine like a child without a present. I make presents for myself.

FF13 was a success because of the hype of being the first FF game this gen.
I'm on the second or third mission. I think the game is amazing and addictive. It's a good action game, like PE2. The graphics is awesome.

Umm.. Not only Sony. Nintendo has its own exclusives too. Practically every Wii/DS game is an exclusive. ))) . It seems only MS doesn't have that much exclusives lately.

There were plenty of time since launch for Nintendo to make couple of such games. Not to mention, they should make at least one system seller at launch, if they wanted big sales.
